The AMO Times is an online media publishing start up that aims to make Brunei Daurssalam stand out. From a societal point of view we have seen a rising number of youth voicing out about a number of current issues, only to have their voices dimmed, unheard, and unanswered by those responsible for the decisions that affect them.
However youths constitutes 70% of the core Bruneian population. Is it any wonder if that in a few decades from now that they would be managing the country? How can the nation build leaders successfully if they lack the foundational framework to represent the youth?
Alas The AMO Times took the initiative to develop such platform for them, and thanks to great fortunate it has met with tremendous success. Since its inception in late 2011 it has garnered over 300,000 hits worldwide. Thus not only did we positioned our writers to be the unofficial ‘ambassadors’ or voice to the nation, we also serve as a medium to make their messages ring throughout worldwide audience to be exposed of the Bruneian Youths’ ideas, activities, and creativity.
To accelerate the process the group recently established connections with Google Campus London, Microsoft UK, 9GAG Singapore, and Techhub UK. By strategically working with them we can leverage on their brands and expertise; effectively helping the group and Brunei Darussalam stand out.
AMO Times is a subsidiary of AMO Capital Holdings and is led by Abdul Malik Omar.
