TO PROVIDE a safe environment, traffic efficiency, as well as public convenience in Mukim Liang, the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB) yesterday announced the opening of a new permanent fourth arm at the traffic junction of the Sungai Liang Industrial Park (SPARK).

Before the opening of the new road, inspections were carried out by representatives from the Public Works Department (PWD) and the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) to assess all relevant technical and safety aspects before the traffic light system is connected and the road is opened for public use.

The new junction was constructed by Bina Puri Holdings Bhd as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative. The new road is also intended to improve the comfort and safety of road users travelling in the area and residents of Spg 766 in the long-run.

Bina Puri Holdings Bhd had constructed and handed over two community projects: the Jln Kecil SungaiLiang bridge and the Gerai Tamuneka in Kg Sungai Liang, as part of their community developmentprogramme, with objectives such as to improve the infrastructure and to contribute to future growth of commercial activities in Mukim Liang.
